Professional Flamenco Dancer, Choreographer & Dance Teacher

Lauren Majarrés is Australia’s newly acclaimed, rising professional flamenco dancer, choreographer and teacher.

Having been a part of the flamenco scene here in Sydney for over 15 years and surrounded by her Spanish heritage, Lauren brings ‘Duende’ (Soul) and ‘Arte’ (Art) to the performance scene. Known for her impressive footwork and deep connection to the music, conveyed throughout her performances.  

Over the years Lauren has been taught by many different teachers which have all influenced and helped to shape her unique mixture of both modern and traditional flamenco rhythms. Some of these artists include: Adriana Rodriguez, Chachy Peñalver, Alfonso Losa, La Lupi, Maria Juncal, Jose Maya, Rafael Estevez, Karen Lugo, Manuel Betanzos, Andres Peña & Marco Flores.

Lauren is now spreading her love & knowledge of flamenco by teaching regular classes in Sydney’s Inner West. She has also taught flamenco abroad in South America, while she was living there for a year. While overseas Lauren performed in various theatres with local flamenco artists and had many national tv appearances.
